Gardens and drives in Hatfield
Old Hatfield and the new town want different work. Grounds rounds cover both.
Old Hatfield has smaller plots, walls, and trees close to the house. The new town has planned greens, communal land, and private gardens laid out to a pattern that now need a regular standard more than a new design.
A grounds round — lawns, hedges, bedding, litter, leaves and jet washing — is often what a managing agent is booking. Private gardens still come in for a patio once the original beds have given up.
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council covers preservation orders. The nearest published finishes are the St Albans gardens and the Borehamwood sandstone drive.
