Older gardens that have closed in. The Arlington patio is the local pair of photographs.
Potters Bar gardens have often been planted for decades. A conifer screen can now cover the windows, and the patio under it has gone green.
Mr Arlington’s garden is that job. A feature patio, paths to it, the conifers cut back, and new fence panels. He asked for something he could keep, so the drawing was built around that rather than a border he would not have time for.
The clay is the same band as Elstree and Borehamwood, which is why levels come up in the first conversation. Protected trees are checked with Hertsmere.
