Tree surgery

Felling, reductions, pruning and stumps, done by arborists with current certificates.

A ladder against a birch in a fenced back garden.

The climbing is done by arborists, and the certificates are kept current. The job is written down before anyone goes up: what is removed, what stays, and where the timber is going.

Typical calls are a birch leaning over a lawn, a conifer row that has closed the windows, or a stump sitting where a patio needs to run. Those are different operations, and they are priced as such.

A tree preservation order, or a tree inside a conservation area, has to be raised with the planning authority before felling or a heavy reduction. The note on conifer screens sets out one common case.
