The Kharnes’ driveway
A steep Radlett entrance rebuilt in block paving, held by stone and a closeboard fence.
The entrance is long and steep. It had been a concrete strip with gravel shoulders and a tired fence. Block paving replaced the surface, and stone walling with a closeboard fence holds the bank.
Planting waited until the hard landscaping had set the line. On a slope this sharp, the wall does as much work as the blocks you see from the road.
