The earlier view is rough grass and spoil, with a digger still standing in the Hertford plot. The later view is a working garden, with the borders left ready for a few plants.

Sandstone, gravel and lawn sit on more than one level, with a paved edge to the grass, a new fence, and a utility or vegetable area at the far end. The change of surface does the job a large border would otherwise demand.
